clossed mine-
the end of the gallery
hemmed with garnets
clossed mine-
sparkling in the dark
malachites
mist along the Danube-
the ore harbor
crumbled
tasting oil:
white plastic glass
becoming yellowy
inox oil press
in a wine cellar’s corner-
in the bottles: olive oil
moon light
on the stony pavement-
olive oil in the glass
empty glasses
on the wine barrel:
tasting olive oil
ancient wine cellar-
among wine barrels
olive oil
terraced vineyards:
ripe grapes
and green lizards
night shadows:
under a diffuse streetlamp
a white moth
rising moon:
blunt stony pontoon
trembling under water
spring sun-
the crow’s wings
suddenly brighter
endless white:
where the snow ends
snowdrops begin
early dawn silence:
beneath the remaining snow
few darting snowdrops
Tuesday, July 26, 2011
early morning:
blurred glimpse
caused by summer mist
dawn-
walking on tip-toes
towards the coffee maker
dawn-
no use hiding
beneath sheets
dawn-
passing the coffee
over an open window
dawn:
trembling light
surrounds the tent
dawn clouds-
the moon’s shape
dissolves
dawn-
the weight
of a dusty cloud
glimpse:
up
and down
distant explosion-
the sharp sound
of her high heels
Friday, March 11, 2011
snowdrops
taking over the snow:
spring signs
Saturday, March 05, 2011
lunar insomnia-
imprinted on your face
last evening surprise
morning make-up-
gliding on the mirror’s surface
silky spider’s web
a spider’s web
getting down from the ceiling-
morning make-up
intense glimpse
fills the gap between us
espresso fragrance
last wave-
the window swings
both ways
Thursday, March 03, 2011
two more drops
of perfume-
spring fever
spring fever:
ink on the pen’s nib
drying…
anticipating
our encounter-
feverish thoughts
spring lassitude:
watching the giddy movement
of the clouds
spring fever:
same old insomnia and
early black coffee
Friday, January 21, 2011
autumn evening-
stompped footsteps
down to the stony street
late encounter:
sound of dropped ear rings
on the planking floor
Thursday, January 20, 2011
tarnished morning
until someone noticed
my amethyst ear rings
tarnished morning-
even the sparrows
look brighter
Sunday, January 16, 2011
crumbly trees
laden with hoarfrost-
salty morning
winter dawn:
the road suddenly ends
into the folding fog
Sunday, January 09, 2011
idle summer time
steamy cast-mosaic floor
in Turkish bath
The 14th Mainichi Haiku Contest 2010, Honorable Mention
autumn cleaning:
the spider’s web
just lints
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
mid-morning sun-
fog unravelling
roll by roll
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
house under construction:
near the mound of gravel
the mount of leaves
heavy rain:
footmarks on the pavement
concentric circles
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
november forest-
in each tree
a different color
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
mid of november-
nothing in the air
excepts ladybugs
afternoon napping
curved into each other-
old wooden spools
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
drop by drop
loosing identity-
full pail under the eaves
a gust of wind:
hammock full of leaves
out of the blue
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
left chimney
little stork bird getting pinker:
early sunrise
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
up in the trees
crows getting even darker:
early dusk
foggy morning:
yours eyes
mistier than the air
faster
than the sweeper’s broom:
falling leaves
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
sound of an engine
before the flash of headlights:
liquid fog
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
walking home
in the yellow leaves carpet
the pallor of evening
The November / December 2010 Sketchbook Vol. 5, No. 6
near the heater-
all at once, the full moon
spreads cold light
mist above the sea-
the picture he took
before sunrise
seeding:
a flock of sea-gulls
whitening the land
